Short Trip to Karkala

It was an undecided trip to Karkala. We were 4 friends (Milan, Vasudev, Gururaj (Cameraman), Myself Praveena) started @ 8 o'clock in the morning from Invenger towers Kottara. Its an 1hour 20 minutes journey through Suratkal, Mulki, Padubidri and Nitte.
There are many buses going to karkala from Mangalore.
First place we can have a look is NITK Suratkal.

Then comes Mulki. Its the Panchyat town near the banks of Shambavi river. Then moved further and reached Padubidri, a small town.

From There we took right diversion to Karkala.
Moving further will get a small village called Nandikur(ನಂದಿಕೂರು), where the Nagarjuna power project is being constructing even there is a rapid opposition from environmentalists.

On the way we can look into Suzlon Wind Project. But getting entry inside is quite difficult.

Going forward we get NMAMIT Nitte. It houses many educational institutes.

Finally we reached Karkala. We had breakfast in Vasudev's house. Then we started our walk to temple, then to Manasthamba in Hiriyangadi.



Moving ahead we entered Parpale forest (ಪರ್ಪಲೇ ಗುಡ್ಡೆ), in which wonderful caves are there.

 At last we got bus back to Mangalore.
It was a very good experience. Its just 62Km from Mangalore, a journey of about 1hour, 20minutes.

Timer using C#

This is a Timer which can be used as up counter or as downcounter also you can use it as downcounter of required value set by the user.The mode of counting is selected using  Select Counter button.
User has provision to change the display mode also by selecting Display Settings button provided at top.
Its sound enabled,which makes tik sound for every count.
Mainly it has 3 buttons Start,Stop,Reset.
Start button starts the counter.
Stop button stops the counter in corresponding mode.
Reset button resets the counter in corresponding mode.

This tool makes email sending task easy. Here you can attach files also.
It contains address book also once if u store email adrresses then easy to insert the same from address book.
You need not to login to to your email account then create new email.Using this tool we can send email in few seconds.
This tool is most favoured for Gmail and Yahoo users.
It uses SMTP server and corresponding port number to redirect the mail.

Gmail SMTP server is   "smtp.gmail.com"
smtp.Port = 587;
smtp.EnableSsl = true;

Yahoo SMTP server is "smtp.mail.yahoo.com"
smtp.Port = 25;
smtp.EnableSsl = false;

Its very very useful in sending Email and also it is very secure.

Intelligent RTO using GSM



         Today world is been turning out into a smaller village due to advancements in electronics, communication is so rapid that a e-mail is sent in minutes across world but present scenario of handling vehicle details has made enormous wastage of time and fuel .this system also gives a full support to Regional Transport Officer to carry out any sort of corruption .

        Our system makes the checking process completely independent of the RTO .Here we constantly check the details of vehicle such as emission, insurance ,RC and license of driver and see if the driver is permitted to drive or not . If vehicle driver is not permitted to drive then our system does not allow the driver to turn on the vehicle and simultaneously a message is sent to the RTO center about the vehicle detail status and the license holder details whichever is found invalid.

Once the vehicle is renewed vehicle driver can use the vehicle as usual. Consideration for emergency cases is also made in this project.

One of the most discouraging things about making a hardware project (apart from obtaining all of the components) is building the printed circuit board - PCB.


Making PCB's itself is the problem in preparing projects or hobby circuits. Printed Circuit Board provides easy mounting and good appearance to circuit board as well as we can get compact circuit.

Power loss is the main parameter which is considered during any circuit designing process.

Very important advantage in using PCB other than normal general purpose PCB's is they are very efficient and has very high noise stability and also low power loss.
